DREAM

SYNOPSIS

There is no longer any doubt. Our species suffers from a variety of diseases directly related to what we eat and drink. Our civilization is producing a generation of children who will live less than their parents (Jay Olshansk): What are we going to do to reverse this process?

The excessive intake of sugar and ultra-processed foods has boosted the growth of diseases such as type 2 diabetes, cancer and high blood pressure, among others. There is no time to lose. This feature-length documentary covers various aspects of consumer habits, the food and pharmaceutical industry. It explores sugar addiction and the obesity pandemic, among other phenomena that result in the increase of diseases that just a few years ago were a rarity or did not exist.

Dr. Carlos Jaramillo, a renowned Colombian functional physician, research this phenomenon that has no nationality and is approached globally, with emphasis on Latin America, so that the population understands it and there are less  victims due to this underlying pandemic, today known as “metabolic syndrome”.
